Blessings on State Bed & Breakfast does not offer any handicap accessible accommodations since the establishment is located within a facility that contains not more than five rooms for rent or hire and that is occupied by the proprietor of the establishment as the residence of the proprietor. (5 U.S.C. 301; 28 U.S.C. 509, 510; 42 U.S.C. 12186(b). § 36.104 Definitions). However, we are committed to doing whatever we reasonably can to make our property accessible, therefore we have added the following accessible features:
- We invite every guest who wishes to visit Blessings to do so, regardless of their physical abilities. We have a portable ramp that will allow wheelchairs to access the main floor from the back lawn, giving access to the front parlor, dining room and front porch common areas, by arrangement.
- We offer flashing smoke alarms, door signalers and other technology for our deaf and hard of hearing guests.
- Guests with service animals as defined in the ADA are provided access to all common areas, just as guests without service animals. (Service animals must be with the guests they serve at all times.)
