Everyone should have a good, dependable sugar cookie recipe for the holidays. Here’s mine!
- 1 cup butter
- 1 cup sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 tbsp. milk
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 3 cups flour
- 3 tsp. baking powder
Cream butter; gradually add sugar.
Add eggs, milk and vanilla; cream well.
Sift flour and baking powder together, and add.
Cover and chill for 10 minutes.
Roll and cut into desired shapes.
Bake at 400* until very light brown.
Let stand for 2 minutes before removing to wire racks to cool.
Note: May be frosted or left plain.
